The %age distribution for the category of Trackmen was also discussed in the said meeting and the Railway Board proposed GP Rs.2800 from the existing 3% to 6%, GP Rs.2400 from the existing 6% to 12%, GP Rs.1900 from existing 20% to 22% and GP Rs.1800 from 71% to 60%. The same was not agreed to by the AIRF, however, it was agreed to by the Railway Board to review the matter further

Sub: Grant of Transport Allowance to the Running Staff only taking into account pay plus 30% of pay.
One of the Zonal Railways had sought clarification whether 30% pay element is to be reckoned for the purpose of payment of Transport Allowance to Running Staff or otherwise.
2. The issue has already been considered and also discussed with the representatives of the Staff Side after the implementation of the Fifth CPC recommendations but was not agreed to. Therefore, it is clarified that 30% pay elements, is not to be reckoned for the purpose of payment of Transport Allowance to Running Staff.
3. This issues with the concurrence of the Finance Directorate of the Ministry of Railways.

Sub: Revised rate of two additional increments of the Nursing Staff.
The Nursing Staff holding B.Sc. Degree as additional qualification, appointed before 01.01.1996, were extended the benefit of two advance increments in terms of para 160 (2) (iii) of IREM Vol. 1. 1989 Edition. These are additional increments which are non-absorbable and are not treated as pay for the purpose of allowances. Further, instructions were issued in consultation with Ministry of Health and Family Welfare vide Board’s letter No. PC-V/2003/I/7/6/1 dated 28.02.2005 for continuation of the scheme and fixation of pay in the revised pay scales w.e.f. 01.01.1996.
2. Consequent upon implementation of revised pay structure of Nursing Staff after implementation of 6th CPC, it has been decided, in consultation with the Ministry of Health and Family Welfare to continue the scheme in the present format with the slight change that the increment to be granted will be 3% of the basic pay of the Nursing Staff concerned.
3. Only two additional non-absorbable increments are admissible to a Nurse in a particular grade where possession of such qualifications is not required as per Recruitment Rules.
4. The grant of the aforesaid increments is subject to the condition that the concerned Nursing Staff is not required to possess the qualification, for which the increment is claimed, as a condition of employment and that they have not been allowed a higher initial pay on account of the said qualifications prior to/on/or after 01.10.1986.
5. This issues with the concurrence of Finance Directorate of the Ministry of Railways.

Revised Train Fares for Journey in AC-First Class, AC-2 Tier, Executive Class & First Class from Tomorrow
The Ministry of Railways has revised passenger fares with effect from tomorrow i.e. 1st April 2012 in AC-First Class, AC-2 tier, Executive Class and First Class only. There is no revision in other classes of travel. The revised fares in these classes would be applicable to all types of trains on Indian Railways network.
The revised fares will also apply to tickets issued in advance for journeys to commence on or after 1st April 2012. In the case of tickets already issued at pre-revised rates, the difference in fares from 1st April 2012 will be recovered from passengers either by TTEs in the trains or by the booking offices before commencement of the journey by the passengers as per the usual practice in case of such fare revisions.The revised list of fares for the information of the public is being displayed at the stations and has been made available to the railway staff well in time. The revised passenger fare table is also available on the website of the Ministry of Railways i.e. indianrailways.gov.in

Central Civil Services (Revised Pay) Rules, 2008 - Date of next increment in the revised pay structure under Rule 10 of the CCS(RP) Rules, 2008.

In accordance with the provisions contained in Rule 10 of the CCS (RP) Rules, 2008, there will be a uniform date of annual increment, viz, 1st July of every year. Employees completing 6 months and above in the revised pay structure as on 1st of July will be eligible to be granted the increment. The first increment after fixation of pay on 1.1.2006 in the revised pay structure will be granted on 1.7.2006 for those employees for whom the date of next increment was between 1st July, 2006 to 1st January, 2007.
2. The Staff Side has represented on this issue and has requested that those employees who were due to get their annual increment between February to June during 2006 may be granted one increment on 01 .01 .2006 in the pre-revised scale.
3. On further consideration and in exercise of the powers available under CCS(RP) Rules, 2008, the President is pleased to decide that in relaxation of stipulation under Rule 10 of these Rules, those central government employees who were due to get their annual increment between February to June during 2006 may be granted one increment on 1.1.2006 in the pre-revised pay scale as a one time measure and thereafter will get the next increment in the revised pay structure on 1.7.2006 as per Rule 10 of CCS(RP) Rules, 2008.The pay of the eligible employees may be re-fixed accordingly.
4. In so far as the persons serving in the Indian Audit and Account Department are concerned, these orders are issued in consultation with the Comptroller & Auditor General of India.

News for hike indian railway fare chart 2012
जैसा कि उम्मीद की जा रही थी, रेल मंत्री दिनेश त्रिवेदी ने साल 2012-13 के रेल बजट में यात्री किराया बढ़ाने की घोषणा कर ही दी. मंत्रीजी ने भारतीय रेल की बिगड़ती आर्थिक हालत का हवाला देते हुए सभी श्रेणियों के यात्री किराए में बढ़ोतरी की है. इस साल के बजट में रेल मंत्री ने यात्री किरयों में 2 पैसा से 30 पैसा प्रति किलोमीटर की बढ़ोतरी का प्रस्ताव रखा है.
श्रेणी के आधार पर की गई बढ़ोतरी
1. एक्सप्रेस ट्रेन (जनरल)- 3 पैसा प्रति किमी
2. स्लीपर- 5 पैसा प्रति किमी
3. एसी:3- 10 पैसा प्रति किमी
4. एसी:2- 15 पैसा प्रति किमी
5. एसी:1-30 पैसा प्रति किमी
6. प्लेटफॉर्म टिकट- 5 रुपये
कितना ज्यादा किराया देना होगा-
अगर आप भारतीय रेल से देश के किसी भी कोने में 1000 किलोमीटर का सफर करते हैं. तो हर बढ़ती श्रेणी के साथ ज्यादा किराया देने पड़ेंगे. यानी अगर आपने स्लीपर का टिकट लिया है तो बजट लागू होने के बाद आपको 50 रुपये ज्यादा किराया देना पड़ेगा. वहीं यह किराया थर्ड एसी श्रेणी में 100 रुपए बढ़ जाएगा. सकेंड एसी श्रेणी में सफर करने वाले यात्री को इतनी ही दूरी के लिए 150 रुपए ज्यादा किराया देना पड़ेगा. वहीं फर्स्ट एसी में सफर करने वाले यात्रियों की जेब पर 300 रुपये का असर डालेगा.
